One of my favorites of the night. The gown was gorgeous and I loved the necklace paired with it. I felt for Amanda though as the dress looked very heavy, but what a problem to have!

Best Dressed on the Red Carpet

There were several events going on last night: the BAFTA Britannia 2012 Awards, Crown Oaks Day in Australia, the premiere of Gambit in London, the screening of Ginger And Rosa in Hollywood, and the premiere of Anna Karenina in New York. 2012 MTV VMAs Red Carpet

Best:

So proud of Taylor Swift for switching it up and wearing this J. Mendel suit instead of her usual sparkly gowns.

If we’re talking about the gown, then Miley Cyrus did good but she’s giving off a creepy Susan Powter vibe.

It’s not utterly fantastic but it’s a nice, understated change for Rihanna. I’m torn on the cut though, a little too caesar.

This one grew on me. Emma Watson looks sassy, cute, and so happy.

Aw Wiz Khalifia and Amber Rose have a little bun in the oven. Mini Jimi Hendrix and Rose look lovely and in love. I just hope the bundle of joy isn’t high upon arrival.

McKayla Maroney in Erin By Erin Fetherston, Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross, Gabby Douglas & Alexandra Raisman. A nice change from the gymnastics unitards…the fierce 5 look great!

Worst/and or just ok:

Katy Perry in Elie Saab is just mediocre in my opinion. I don’t care for the leather tie knot at the bust or the sheer bottom.

Really don’t know how I feel about Rita Orta’s diamond encrusted ensemble. One minute I like it, and the next I feel like Liberace should be in it.

Ugh, Nicki Minaj makes my head hurt. That is all.

Speaking of headaches…who the hell is Riff Raff? and don’t go callin’ me old either.

No shock here, but yes Deena Cortese looks…not so great.

Don’t really understand the head band Jessica Szohr.

I think we’re all used to Ke$ha looking like a hot mess…this isn’t her worst though.Is her bag supposed to look like a feather duster?

Oh Alicia Keys I’m sorry but I hate this and your wanna-be Angelina pose.

RuPaul is in this category only because it freaks me out when he’s dressed in mens clothing. I want my RuPaul. Give me my drag Ru, but I appreciate the patriotism.
