The Great Gatsby New York Premiere

"The Great Gatsby" World Premiere - Inside Arrivals

Excited for The Great Gatsby? I’ve been on the fence about it. I like how Baz (Luhrmann, we’re on a first name basis) did Romeo & Juliet, but I’m just a little unsure…there’s, well, Tobey’s whiny obnoxiousness to ruin the … Continue reading

2013 Golden Globes: The Good

My favorite: Julianna Margulies in Pucci. Girl rocked it. The dress, the hair, the earrings. It’s hard to tell from the picture but she looked amazing on TV Kate Hudson looked stunning in Alexander McQueen. Loved the hair too Another case … Continue reading

Jennifer Lawrence Continues to be Awesome for Marie Claire South Africa

I’ve been vocal about my love for Jennifer Lawrence in the past. The 22-year-old actress is a refreshing change from the stuck up Kardashian fame seeking type celebrities constantly in the press. It seems like Lawrence is genuine in what she says, and if not…well, she is an actress.

Lawrence is on Marie Claire South Africa‘s January cover and spoke some more about some of the topics we’ve heard her speak on in the past; i.e. body image.

“I’d rather look chubby on screen and like a person in real life,” Lawrence told the magazine.

Well, she looks no where near chubby, but rock on! Lawrence also called herself an ‘old lady’, when it comes to her party life.

“I don’t like going out that much. I’m kind of an old lady. After it’s 11, I’m like ‘Don’t these kids ever get tired?’ When I’m out, I think about my couch.”

Glad to see someone in the spotlight has their stuff together and their head on straight! Check out the cover featuring Lawrence in a fantastic silver dress.

Who looked the best? (Trust me, many looked awful…post to come)

The Emma Watson Side Boob Channel

Gasp! Can you believe of all people Emma Watson had a wardrobe malfunction? Indeed she did folks, at the LA premiere of her latest film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower (*cough, filmed in Pittsburgh)

It really wasn’t anything scandalous though (not surprised, are you?) because like the lady she is, Watson had some pasties on.

BTW, Watson wore Armani. As for the designer of the pasties, ?

You Can All Breathe Now…Kristen Stewart’s First Post-Break-up Red Carpet Appearance

Kristen Stewart stepped out at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of On The Road last night and the word waited with bated breath.

Here’s what happened…she stood there, and occasionally posed, you know with one hand on the hip.

I can tell you Stewart’s dress was from Zuhair Murad’s fall couture 2012 collection. As for the body language and that other b.s., you’ll have to go somewhere else.

The Venice Film Festival…Thus Far

A roundup of some of the looks from the Venice Film Festival so far…

Bew-d-ful:

Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace. Honestly, it’s not one of my favorites, but Kate always looks great. The color of the gown with her skin tone and hair color looks great.

Kasia Smutniak in Alberta Ferretti. Great color, shows off Smutniak’s body. Love the sleeves.
Olga Sorokina. Really like the straps, unexpected and adds a little bit of tough masculinity with the soft femininity of the gown.
Laetitia Casta in Dolce & Gabbana. To be fair, she’s really here because of her statuesque beauty, not that the dress isn’t appealing.
Kate Hudson in Gucci. Classic cool.
Winona Ryder in Dolce & Gabbana. Have never been a big Winona fan but she does look nice in this Dolce & Gabbana black lace gown.
Laetitia Casta. Like the color and detail, not sold on the shoes.
Kasia Smutniak. Lovely and ethereal.
Olga Kurylenko. Love the color and detail..something different.
Fiammetta Cicogna. Pretty dress, the fishtail got me though.
Maika Monroe in Marchesa. Rarely do I like Marchesa’s, but Monroe looks fabulous in this one.
Nadine Labaki. Can’t go wrong in this black lace gown.
Yoi:
Naomi Watts in Marchesa and Liev Schreiber. Just not totally sold.
Violante Placido in Alberta Ferretti. I seem to focus on her hair instead of the gown, which is lovely…so Placido you are in this category.
Kasia Smutniak in Valentino. This is just busy enough I think I like it.

Albina Dzhanabaeva. Torn on this one–Perhaps if the top was sequined and the bottom was  solid black I would like it better.
Brit Marling in Gucci. Nice dress, but not sure if it was appropriate for the event.
Eleonora Carisi. I’m on the fence with this, I think I like the macrame, and I’m leaning towards being a fan of the dress, but not totally sold.
Marina and Carlo Ripa di Meana. The only reason they’re in this category is because the little old man saved them (if you don’t know, I’m a sucker for them).
Double yoi:
Laetitia Casta in Dolce & Gabbana. Just because it’s a designer label doesn’t mean it’s good.
Isabella Ferrari, just..bad.
Isabelle Adriani. There’s always some girl who thinks she’s a princess. Apparently, Adriani is an Italian actress and a “fairy tale writer”. Whose fairy tale looks like this?
Tiziana Rocca. Too tan/orange, and not diggin’ the mullet dress.
Samantha Morton ’80s?
Franziska Petri so so bad. Maybe if the dress was somewhat nice I could forgive seeing your underwear? No, no…there’s never a place for that.
Giulio Base and Tiziana Rocca, fire your stylists immediately
Cecile de France…no words needed
Gisella Marengo. Not prom.
Olga Sorokina. Too much going on here.
Trudie Styler. Oh you know, just going to the Venice Film Festival in my p.j.’s.
Olga Sorokina because the eyeshadow is scaring me.

T-Shirts and Trampire’s

Personally I’ve never been fans of Kristen Stewart or Robert Pattinson, or Twilight (certainly not Twilight) but I have felt somewhat bad for Pattinson in light of recent events.

It seems like a lot of other people do too, including custom shirt company Skreened.com who is producing a t-shirt with the words ‘Kristen Stewart Is A Trampire‘ (Do they need to pay Will Ferrell for that?). I’m sure she’s feeling the repercussions of her actions. Along with being caught cheating with her married-with-children director, Stewart has recently been dropped from the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel (as has Rubert Sanders). Ouch.

In ‘other’ news, Pattinson is being very professional and gentlemanly in public and interviews. You finally got me Pattinson.

Pattinson at the ‘Cosmopolis‘ premiere, Aug. 13.

Pattinson in Gucci looking very nice.
