HBO’s Boardwalk Empire star Michael Pitt is the new face of the spring/summer 2012 Prada campaign ad.
I’m not so sure how I feel about these photos. I’m ashamed to say, I have yet to watch Boardwalk Empire, and I feel if I did, I may have a different opinion of these (so perhaps it’s a good thing I don’t?)
They obviously were going for a ’50s feel, and according to a press release: Pitt, in this campaign,“explores the language of male role models from the rock star to the playboy, from the self-reflective introvert to the engaging and humorous farceur. Contemporary men work when they play and play when they work. The boundaries are no longer clear – as the campaign’s simple props and gestures emphasize.” [pursuitist]
